This double CD, compiled by Jacqueline Cogdell DjeDje, has just been released by UCLA Ethnomusicology Publications. It is a companion to her book, Fiddling in West Africa: Touching the Spirit in Fulbe, Hausa, and Dagbamba Cultures, which will be published by Indiana University Press in late 2007. A songbook containing song texts, musical transcriptions, biographies of fiddlers, and more, is also available through UCLA Ethnomusicology Publications.
